In our world of extremes, Christians often think about the concept of "Spiritual Warfare" approaching one of two opposite errors. C.S. Lewis states this the best: “There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves [the devils] are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight."
As Men of God, part of our journey in discipleship is having a theological informed theology of spiritual warfare - and to be men of prayer. Spiritual forces exist in the world (Eph 2:2) and we are commanded to confidently combat them with our secured position in the Gospel. We are on the winning team!
We will be hosting this retreat on-site this year at Hope Church in the Loft. Our aim with this ministry change is to get more men involved as the retreat will be more accessible and significantly cheaper.
